Prehistoric crocodile beats T-Rex

We probably all think the T-Rex was the most feared and powerful creature in the prehistoric era. However, according to Gregory M. Erickson of Florida State University, the Deinosuchus was more powerful than the T-Rex. This creature lived during the late Cretaceous and its name means “terrible crocodile”. Deinosuchus fossils have been found in ten U.S. states, including Texas, Montana, and many states along the East Coast. Some of them were also found in northern Mexico.
The bite force of the Deinosuchus has been estimated to exceed 18000 newtons, whereas the T-Rex has been estimated to exceed 13400 newtons. Compared with humans (102 newtons) these creatures are far more powerful than us, no matter how you look at it.
