Our brain

Every day we learn more about the human body and its possibilities. However, the brain is still a mystery for many scientists and psychologists. Our brain is like the human CPU, and our body can’t work without it. Below you can find nine facts about our brain. With special thanks to bsnprogram.com!

  1. Our brain doesn’t feel pain: the brain processes pain signals to our body, but the brain itself doesn’t actually feel pain.
  2. Our brain has huge oxygen needs: the brain requires about twenty percent of the oxygen and calories that our body needs.
  3. Eighty percent of the brain is water: the brain exists for eighty percent out of water!
  4. The brain is most active at night: while sleeping, your brain is more active than during the day.
  5. Operating on 10 watt: the computational power of our brain only requires about 10 watts of power to operate.
  6. I.Q. and dreams: the smarter you are, the more you dream. Some people even believe they are smarter in their dreams than when they are awake.
  7. The brain changes shapes during puberty: the structures of your brain changes during the teen years.
  8. Storing of information: theoretical, your brain has the capacity to store everything you experience, see, read, or hear. Our problem is recall—whether we are able to access all that information.
  9. Different speeds in our brain: the several neurons in our brain are built differently, and information travels along them at different speeds. This is why sometimes you can recall information instantly, and sometimes it takes a little longer.
