Have you ever wanted to travel back in time to visit your father when he was a child, see the Roman Empire at the peak of its glory or walk with the dinosaurs? It would definitely be awesome, but unfortunately, few scientists believe it is possible to travel back in time. Here is the reason, just imagine you are going back in time to kill your own father. If he dies, you would never be born, and you would have never been able to travel back in time to even shoot him in the first place. In short, some things would not make sense anymore, and this is a reason why scientists think it is impossible to go back in time.
Although going back in time may be little more than science fiction, travelling to the future could be possible. Scientists believe that if you travel really fast with, let’s say, in a super train, time slows down for you compared to the rest of the world while time stays the same for everyone else on Earth. You will not feel like you are moving slower, but if you were to look outside through the window, you would see that the outside world is moving fast forward compared to you. The faster you go, the slower time goes for you compared to the rest of the world. This may sound very strange, but some scientists believe travelling to the future is possible if we could actually build an incredibly fast machine.
